Nanozymes for Treatment of Dye Wastewater

Industrial production discharges large amounts of wastewater, causing severe pollution of the natural ecological environment. In particular, printing and dyeing industries discharge wastewater with high dye concentrations, multiple types of pollutants, poor biodegradability, high organic matter content, and even biological toxicity. If discharged directly without treatment, it can cause serious environmental pollution, while traditional biochemical processing processes slowly degrade the dye wastewater.  Therefore, there is an urgent need for novel materials to remove organic matter from such wastewater.

As a result of intensive research on nanozymes, it has been found that they have a good effect on the treatment of organic wastewater, being characterized by mild reaction conditions, low energy consumption, no secondary contamination and simple and convenient operation. Creative Enzymes provides a variety of nanozymes for the treatment of dye wastewater, helping our customers worldwide in the nanozymes field.

Treatment of Dye Wastewater with Ag Nanozymes

  • Ag nanozymes exhibit strong adsorptive and oxidizing properties for dye removal. Creative Enzymes makes activated carbon-loaded Ag nanozymes to adsorb methylene blue. Similarly, silica powder loaded with Ag enzymes can adsorb dyes such as Congo red, eosin yellow and brilliant blue.
  • Photocatalysis is one of the main mechanisms for the treatment of dye wastewater by Ag nanozymes Its role is to excite electrons from the valence band to the conduction band through irradiation, thereby generating electron-hole pairs. The resulting hydroxyl radical acts as a potent oxidizer and completely degrades the dye to harmless products such as CO2, H2O, etc.

Treatment of Dye Wastewater with Cu Nanozymes

  • We also prepare Cu nanozymes with mimic peroxidase-like activity, which are able to degrade methyl orange through a simple method.

  • Meanwhile, Cu nanozymes also show good stability of temperature and pH, maintaining high activity over a wide range of pH and temperature. At the same time, it also has good reusability and storage stability.

Treatment of Dye Wastewater with Fe / Mn Nanozymes

  • Due to the strong synergistic effect between Fe and Mn, the Fe / Mn nanozymes can efficiently activate peroxymonosulfate (PMS) to generate free radicals and improve the degradation efficiency of organic matter in water. It has been shown that the high catalytic activity of Fe / Mn nanozymes is derived from electron transfer between the Mn2+ / Mn3+ / Mn4+ and Fe2+ / Fe3+ valence states, which can be efficiently activated to produce a large number of radicals and promote the degradation of pollutants.
  • Base on this, we have prepared nanozymes to oxidize and decolorize reactive black 5 (RB5) through SO4- and ·OH, which ultimately degrades to a small molecular poly carboxylic acid humic acid.

Based on a variety of strategies, Creative Enzymes is confident that it can provide customers around the world with a name in the dye wastewater treatment field at competitive prices. There is no doubt that our services will facilitate the success of your project in a much shorter time.
