Antiviral Therapy with Nanozymes
Antiviral therapy can be used at different stages of the viral life cycle, including viral adsorption entry stage, viral genome replication stage, and viral assembly and release stage. Nanozymes are used in the treatment of antiviral infection. They can act in different stages.
Creative Enzymes provides antiviral therapy based on nanozymes, to help our customers worldwide in the field of nanozymes. Our platform is equipped with cutting-edge facilities and professional experts to support research. Here, we provide various services according to the needs of customers.
Anti-Influenza Viruses Therapy with Nanozymes
-
In recent years, it has been reported that poly anionic compounds (such as sulfated polysaccharides and sulfated polymers) have a broad spectrum of antiviral activity. Some experts speculate that these compounds inhibit the fusion of virus and host cells, by interfering with the exposure of fusion peptides in hemagglutinin.
-
Creative Enzymes modifies the surface modification of Au nanozymes by mercapto ethyl sulfonate (MES) that can block the fusion of H5N1, H1N1 and other influenza virus subtypes with erythrocyte membrane, to inhibit influenza virus infection.

IONzyme not only has POD and CAT activities, but also can catalyze the oxidation of lipid molecules under neutral conditions, exerting the activity of lipid-like oxidase. We design IONzyme to directly disrupt the lipid envelope on the surface of influenza virus and further provide broad-spectrum antiviral action against a variety of influenza virus subtypes, by producing free radical destruction of virus-associated proteins, including hemagglutinin, ceramidase, and matrix protein 1.
-
Nanozymes can also directly destroy virus structure and function. We develop Ag nanozymes that can interact with the virus to directly destroy the H3N2 virus structure, and they effectively destroy the virus within 2 hours in a time-dependent manner.
Anti-Hepatitis Viruses Therapy with Nanozymes
-
Au nanozymes have good biocompatibility, simple synthesis process, surface modification, biomolecular binding and adjustable optical properties, they have been widely used as a delivery vehicle for protein drugs.
-
Interferon alpha (INFα) is delivered by Au nanozymes modified with hyaluronic acid (HA), and OAS1 expression is stimulated by INFα initiating RNase L pathway to destroy RNA of hepatitis virus. The Au nanozymes delivery system has higher bioactivity and stability than traditional methods.
-
We also prepare spherical porous Au / Ag alloy nanozymes, which are also an efficient delivery carrier. DNAzyeme can be efficiently loaded for specific cleavage of the hepatitis virus NS3 gene. The helicase and protease encoded by the NS3 gene are involved in viral gene replication, so cleavage of the NS3 gene can produce antiviral effects.
Antiviral Human Immunodeficiency Virus with Nanozymes
-
The first critical step in the infection cycle is the fusion between the virus and the cell membrane. Nanozymes can block the attachment of the virus to the host cell by inhibiting the viral glycoprotein. In the case of HIV, GP120 binds to the CD4 molecule in CD4+ T cells and promotes the fusion of the virus with the cell membrane.
-
We develop Ag nanozymes, which can interact with GP120 and preferentially bind to GP120 molecules, to destroy HIV infectivity.
Creative Enzymes has a long-term commitment to the development and application of nanozymes.
