D-arabinitol 4-dehydrogenase (EC1.1.1.11) is a group of oxidoreductase enzymes that catalyze D-arabinitol and convert it to D-xylulose via reduction of the cofactor NAD (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide). The systematic name of this enzyme class is D-arabinitol:NAD+ 4-oxidoreductase. It is also named as dalD, D-arabitol dehydrogenase, and arabitol dehydrogenase. This enzyme is a member of the oxidoreductases family, more specifically, the oxidoreductases that catalyze the CH-OH group of the substrate and use NAD+ or NADP+ as the cofactor.
