Xylo-oligosaccharid (XOS) is oligosaccharide mixtures composed of 2-9 xylose units linked by β-1,4 glycosidicbonds. It is soluble fiber and low-calorie sweetener, and also can act as a prebiotic, selectively feeding beneficial bacteria such as bifidobacteria and lactobacilli within the digestive tract
