Description
Vibrio harveyi is a major pathogenic bacterium affecting various aquaculture species. It is widely distributed in marine environments and within aquaculture animals and is known for its bioluminescent properties. Juvenile and larval stages of aquatic animals are particularly susceptible, with mortality rates in shrimp larvae reaching nearly 100%.
