Applications
PrincipleBy treatment with proteases, resorufin-labeled peptides are released from resorufin-labeled casein. They cannot be precipitated by trichloroacetic acid. The concentration of these resorufin-labeled peptides in the supernatant is equivalent to the proteolytic activity present.Use Universal Protease Substrate as a general substrate for proteases, and to detect trace protease activities, for example, as a contamination in enzyme preparations. It can be measured spectrophotometrically and fluorimetrically in a homogeneous assay.

Preparation Instructions
Working concentration: Approximately 1 mg/mlStorage conditions (working solution): -15 to -25 °CAn aqueous solution is stable for several months at -15 to -25° C and for 2 to 3 days at 2 to 8° C. It is recommended to store aqueous solutions in aliquots at -15 to -25° C. Repeated freezing and thawing is possible. At 15 to 25 °C the product is rapidly hydrolyzed in solution.
