Description
Tetrahydrocurcumin (THC), as the active and main metabolite produced by curcumin in living organisms, is hydrogenated from curcumin isolated from the rhizome of turmeric, a plant of the ginger family.
Tetrahydrocurcumin is the main whitening active ingredient in natural turmeric root extract, which not only has the strongest tyrosinase inhibiting activity, but also has excellent chemical stability and the appearance of odourless white powder, thus overcoming the defect of ordinary turmeric extract which is chemically unstable and easy to stain the skin.
