Description
S-Adenosyl methionine (SAM) is an auxiliary substrate involved in methyl transfer reaction. It is synthesized in vivo by adenosine triphosphate and methionine under the action of Methionine adenosyltransferase. SAM is prepared in 0.01 M HCL and 10% ETOH and filtered.
Applications
For the methylation reaction experimentation, SAM can be diluted 400 times to the final concentration of 80 μM.
Form
Colorless transparent liquid
Storage
at -25 to -15 °C (Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles)
Warnings
1) S-Adenosylmethionine (SAM) can be dissolved at room temperature. After dissolution, it should be stored in an ice box or on an ice bath. After use, it should be stored at -25~-15°C immediately.
2) For safety and health, please wear lab coats and disposable gloves for operation
