Description
Cutinases are inducible extracellular enzymes secreted by microorganisms that are capable of degrading plant cell walls. They catalyze the cleavage of ester bonds of cutin, resulting in the release of cutin monomers (5–8).
Species
Fusarium solani subsp. cucurbitae (Neocosmosporum cucurbitae)
Form
Liquid or Lyophilized powder
Enzyme Commission Number
EC 3.1.1.74
Molecular Weight
23.7 kDa
Purity
Greater than 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Storage
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Buffer
If the delivery form is liquid, the default storage buffer is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 5%-50% glycerol. If the delivery form is lyophilized powder, the buffer before lyophilization is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0.
Reaction
cutin + H2O = cutin monomers
