Description
Pancreas elastase is an elastase produced in pancreas alveolar cells, initially produced as an inactive zymogen and later activated in the duodenum by trypsin. Elastase hydrolyzes N-Succinyl-Ala-Ala-Ala-p-nitroanilide (SucAla3-pNA) to generate N-Succinyl-Ala-Ala-Ala (SucAla3) and p-Nitroanilide(pNA).
