Methyl 3-O-(N-acetyl-β-D-glucosaminyl)-β-D-galactopyranoside has been shown to inhibit rat lung lectin, as well as the attachment of Streptococcus pneumoniae and H. influenzae. Additionally, methyl 3-O-(N-acetyl-β-D-glucosaminyl)-β-D-galactopyranoside is a substrate for β-6-GlcNAc-transferase.
Applications
Used in the preparation of disaccharide mucin fragment and for the inhibition studies of rat lung lectin. It is a substrate for β-6-GlcNAc-transferase.
