L-Tartrate is a food fortification that is a stabilized form of L-Carnitine, incorporating L-Carnitine salt bound to tartaric acid.
L-Carnitine is concentrated in the muscles and its main function is to provide an additional source of ATP to highly metabolic tissues, helping to improve muscular endurance and increase energy supply, as well as helping to improve endurance.
L-Tartrate helps the body transport fatty acids from stored fat into the mitochondria of muscle cells where it can be used for energy, leading to greater use of stored body fat for energy.
Applications
L-tartrate can be used in chewable tablets, drinkable liquids, capsules, milk powder, and milk beverages.
