Description
Lactobacillus rhamnosus (L. rhamnosus 4F225) is a newly isolated strain from natural fermented milk cake, which is beneficial for subacute liver injury caused by alcohol.
Lactobacillus rhamnosus 4F225 can protect the liver from alcohol damage by inhibiting alcohol-induced weight loss, alleviating inflammatory state and downregulating the expression of related genes, improving liver function, and upregulating the expression of antioxidant-related genes to enhance antioxidant status. L.rhamnosus 4F225 may resist subacute liver injury caused by alcohol by stimulating antioxidant and anti-inflammatory pathways.
In addition, experiments have verified that Lactobacillus rhamnosus can also reduce blood sugar levels, improve the histopathological state of the liver, kidneys and pancreas, improve blood lipid levels, regulate inflammation through the NFκB‑p65 pathway, and regulate glucose metabolism through the AMPK pathway. It plays an important role in the prevention or treatment of type 2 diabetes and has broad application prospects.
