Lactobacillus jensenii is Gram-positive, rod-shaped, negative for catalase and oxidase, and anaerobic. It is a normal inhabitant of the lower reproductive tract in healthy women and is marketed as a probiotic. Lactobacillus jensenii has a certain application prospect in the prevention and treatment of bacterial vaginosis.
