Does not accept aliphatic hydroxynitriles, unlike EC 4.1.2.10 (mandelonitrile lyase), EC 4.1.2.46 [aliphatic (R)-hydroxynitrile lyase] and EC 4.1.2.47 [(S)-hydroxynitrile ketone-lyase (cyanide forming)].
