Description
Epicatechin is a well-studied polyphenol with respect to the effect noticed in diabetes and obesity, through various mechanisms. It is a flavanol that is easily obtained through diet and is found in tea, cocoa, vegetables, fruits and grains. As a flavonoid, epicatechin has many physiological activities, such as anti-oxidation, lowering blood sugar, preventing cardiovascular diseases, anti-inflammation, protecting nerves, and inhibiting bacteria.
