Description
In Rhodopseudomonas capsulata and Rubrivivax gelatinosus the enzyme is involved in biosynthesis of spheroidene. In Rubrivivax gelatinosus the enzyme also catalyses the methylation of demethylspirilloxanthin to spirilloxanthin and the methylation of 3,4-didehydrorhodopin to anhydrorhodovibrin.
