Description
Callicarpa nudiflora is a Verbenaceae Callicarpa L. plant whose roots and leaves are used as medicine for its hemostatic, anti-inflammatory and detoxifying properties.
The antioxidant components in Callicarpa nudiflora mainly include flavonoids, phenolic acids and phenylethanol glycosides. These polar components with phenolic hydroxyl groups usually have significant antioxidant activity and have been formalized as one of the major sources of natural antioxidants.
