A bisperoxovanadium compound that acts as a potent protein phosphotyrosine phosphatase (PTP) inhibitor as well as an insulin receptor kinase (IRK) activator. Also an excellent insulin mimetic in vitro and in vivo and a potent PTEN inhibitor (IC50 = 38 nM).
