Description
The Peumus boldus belongs to the Monimiaceae and is an evergreen shrub that grows 6 to 8 meters tall. Native to South America, it is mainly found in Chile and Peru in the wide area of the Andes. Boldo leaves Extract is obtained by using the leaves of the Peumus boldus, the active ingredient of which is boldina. Boldo leaves Extract is mainly used as a choleretic agent; it also found applications in medicine, food, cosmetics, veterinary medicine, dietary supplements, and nutraceuticals.
