The systematic name of this enzyme class is benzaldehyde:NAD+ oxidoreductase. Other names in common use include benzaldehyde (NAD+) dehydrogenase, and benzaldehyde dehydrogenase (NAD+). This enzyme participates in benzoate degradation via hydroxylation and toluene and xylene degradation.
