Description
The enzyme from the plant Papaver somniferum (opium poppy) methylates (S)- and (R)-reticuline with equal efficiency and is involved in the biosynthesis of tetrahydrobenzylisoquinoline alkaloids.

Store it at +4 ºC for short term. For long term storage, store it at -20 ºC～-80 ºC.
Reaction
(1) S-adenosyl-L-methionine + (S)-reticuline = S-adenosyl-L-homocysteine + (S)-laudanine; (2) S-adenosyl-L-methionine + (R)-reticuline = S-adenosyl-L-homocysteine + (R)-laudanine
