Description
The enzyme from Pseudoalteromonas sp. is specific for λ-carrageenan. ι-Carrageenan (see EC 3.2.1.157, ι-carrageenase), κ-carrageenan (see EC 3.2.1.83, κ-carrageenase), agarose and porphyran are not substrates.
