Description
Wormwood is a species of artemisia, native to Europe, North America, and Siberia. It has the characteristic grayish white downy leaves common to the artemisias and small yellow flower buds, and grows naturally on uncultivated, arid ground, on rocky slopes, and at the edge of footpaths and fields. Its traditional use has been claimed to remedy indigestion and gastric pain, and it acts as an antiseptic, and as a febrifuge.
