Description
Oleic acid is a monounsaturated Omega-9 fatty acid found in plants and animals. Chemical formula C18H32O2, structural formula CH3(CH2)7CH = CH(CH2)7COOH. Oleic acid carbon double bond oxidation can make the molecule break to produce aldehydes, ketones, or carboxylic acids. It can also be oxidized to form alcohols.
