Description
Mussel Adhesive Protein is extracted from the foot glands of marine mussels as a natural mucin component. Because the secretion of mussel mucin is very low, even 10,000 mussels can only extract 1g of mucin, so it enjoys the name of "soft gold of the sea".
As a natural extract, complete mussel mucin is a short peptide consisting of 10 amino acids, 70-90 short peptides polymerized into a large molecule protein, is the only known large molecule protein with a polyphenol structure, with excellent repair and sustained antioxidant capacity.
Applications
Mussel Adhesive Protein is a natural protein with strong underwater adhesion ability, which can be used in surface chemistry, biomedicine, marine engineering, daily chemicals, and many other fields, such as surgical suture bonding in medicine, promoting cell adhesion wall crawling, promoting wound healing to inhibit itching, and the formation of water-resistant protective film.
