Description
Chrysin is a flavonoid with a wide range of pharmacological activities extracted from wood butterfly, family Zygophyllaceae.
Chrysin has a high amount in propolis, light yellow prismatic crystals (crystallized from methanol), melting point of 285℃. Soluble in alkali hydroxide solution, slightly soluble in ether, ethanol and chloroform, insoluble in water.
Chrysin is the raw material for the synthesis of anticancer, hypolipidemic, anti-cardiovascular disease, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and other drugs.
