Description
Benzyl-2-acetamido-2-deoxy-α-D-galactopyranoside is used as an inhibitor of O-linked glycosylation in a variety of cell lines. Benzyl-2-acetamido-2-deoxy-α-D-galactopyranoside also inhibits 2,3(O)-sialyltransferase and disrupts glycoprotein targeting in HT-29 cells. Substrate for N-acetyl-β-D-glucosaminyltransferase. Benzyl-2-acetamido-2-deoxy-α-D-galactopyranoside is an inhibitor of O-GlcNAc transferase.
